A glimpse into what it is like to live in our home just this moment.

Intentional Outdoor Hours:  557+ hours (of 1000)
We got a pretty good snow this week and the kids were out sled riding and blissfully happy in the cold weather. Our animals a little less so - although the goats and chickens/ducks are still wandering about since the snow wasn't too deep. And then a day or two later - bam, beautiful skies and warmer weather. Bring on all the runny noses - HAH.

Reading What I Carry by Jennifer Longo

Preparing for Olive's baptism. invitations, food requests from the grandmas, finishing paperwork, and ordering godparents gifts. If you love making beautiful text invitations - I really love Greetings Island. They always have beautiful templates and it makes me feel like I have my stuff together as a mom even if I'm only texting out an invitation (hah).

Hosting a playdate with Violet's friend from the neighborhood and smiling to see them playing together. They are too sweet and they helped me clean the guinea pig cage and then laughed hysterically while playing Just Dance on Youtube.

Happy dancing about Brandon's clean truck! His parents got him a gift certificate to a car detailing shop and omigosh, what a great gift and what a huge difference it made.

Juggling babies (literally, LOL) during the day with Reddy, Livy, and Wells - plus Rusty but he's a big helper. It can get a little crazy, but for the most part I love all the snuggles and sweet goos and coos from all those little darlings. They learn so much and so fast it is such a delight to watch how they change a little tiny bit each day.

Sending the boys off to Erie with Chum for a steelhead fishing trip! Grey took a three day hiatus from school (!) and they had a sleepover in a hotel and got to visit with cousins and our friend and fishing guide Bobby. They had a great time and I am always so grateful for memories made and smiles logged with cross-generational learning and time well spent. (thanks for planning the trip Dad!)

Battling a sinus infection or some kind of sickness. ugh. It seems mostly contained to just the two babies and I but we were hurting. Chills, fever, body aches and so much sinus pressure. I was down for the count on Thursday (even had to cancel on baby Wells!) but after a solid 36 hours of feeling absolutely terrible, the three of us started to bounce back fairly well - thankfully.

So grateful for Aunt Kitty who swooped in and took Gemma to her fourth grade recorder concert on Thursday night when I was laid up with the sickness (B was in Erie). She and Violet accompanied my Gemmi Roe as she and her classmates harmoniously played Hot Cross Buns on their recorders. So sorry I missed but so deeply grateful to have family who could be there to save the day for my kiddos (time and time again - I love you!)

Singing Happy Half Birthday to our Livy Lou who was 6months this week! TIME IS UNBELIEVABLE.

Bringing home 100 bales of hay! It was hay day on the farm and thank goodness for that. We waited way to long to order our bales and had to pay more than we like (we will remember for next year!) but the chore is done and all the bales are sitting safe and packed in the shed for the goats all winter long. The kids were happy to help and we had Uncle Dave and his trailer to help with the job (thank you!!)

Clearing out a cupboard that I have been avoiding for awhile. The cupboard in the laundry room has been historically stuffed with any coat or outwear that was too small or too big for us for the past two years. It was bulging and I knew it was going to be a big project - but I pulled every single thing out of there and organized into piles to go in the correct places. The kids all picked two coats for winter to hang on their hooks and everything else was stored away. It wasn't long until I heard little voices coming from the cleared space to find Rust and Vi in there playing.

Sporting in basketball mode. Gemma had two practices and two games this week. She even got to go with her teammates to a college game on Saturday! She loved the experience, her coach is so awesome for setting up this opportunity (thank you!) Grey had his first basketball practice. Brandon's winter basketball league started and he got back on to the court this week!

Making chicken gnocchi soup, shrimp stir fry over rice, baked ravioli casserole, delivery pizza, noodle soup and garlic bread.
