Home Pre-K: Week 4

Monday, September 20, 2021

We had a lowkey week in homeschool pre-k.  The babies were a little fussy and I was feeling pretty rundown (plus there was like three million chores backed up) so we took it easy and spent most of our time outside and doing random read alouds and lots of catch with the football.

We did however stick to some homeschool pre-k activities specific to our theme this week: leaves! It lined up pretty perfect as there are leaves just beginning to turn and fall from the trees so we had plenty to look at and collect.

Rusty's favorite activity was probably the Guess What is Under the Leaf Pile activity (a freebie from TPT). He wanted to play it a million times (even though he already knew all the items under the piles) so we kept switching it up with him giving clues, or me making up different clues than was written on the paper to keep it fresh and fun. We also colored all the people on his Falling Leaves mini book (TPT freebie) and he laughed for a ridiculous amount of time when I surprised him by drawing a mustache and beard on one of the dudes. He was like, "Mum, he's a kid?! Not a grown up man?!"
