why I cry during the royal wedding clips on CNN

because I always cry at weddings

because Kate effortlessly made a long sleeved wedding dress look hot

because like all brides, Kate looked so beautiful that she was glowing

because prince william would not stop cheesing like a teenage boy who just realized he has the chance to kiss the prettiest girl in school

because the crowd chanted for them to kiss again and they did with huge goofy smiles on their faces

because the look on Kate's dad's face was so full of pride and a little bit of that you-better-be-good-to-my-little-angel-i-don't-care-if-you're-the-future-king-of-England-she's-still-my-little-girl look

because I know how proud I am as a parent when Greyson can take a drink from his own sippy cup; I cannot begin to imagine the pride her mother must feel to know her daughter will have the power  to make the world a better place

because on the most exciting day of her life, Kate thought to stop, one last time before entering the church and turn back towards the thousands of people watching from the courtyard and waved with a smile on her face.  she thought of others when everyone was only thinking of her.

because for not a moment did Kate look nervous or anxious or weepy, but she walked with the confidence of someone who understands that around the world, little girls are watching and hoping to be just like her; a regular girl who gets to be a real life princess someday
